turbo pressure test / performance questions

Hi Guys, Recently bought a 2001 xc70 2.4 t & am getting to grips with it fairly well. I used to have a t4 v40 estate, so knew immediately what to do when the coolant indicator went wappy on the 2nd day of ownership. question now is, is there a quick way to see if the turbo is spooling up correct...

no it shouldnt,

yes marginaly both, just done mine & if i floor it, my fuel economy gets worse but if i cruise it is better

so more air must be getting to the engine for it to deliver more fuel

could be anything

You need to take the cover off the underside and try and pinpoint where its comming from,

could be anything from loose nut on an oil return to a blown gasket
I dont know of any specific probs with the T4 :?

hehe, right, the 'O' setting is off, wich conversly for a volvo meens its on (daylight running lights). but because there 'off' , you cant have main beem on , only flash. when the switch is on it looks the same as when its off, exept that you will now be able to have your main beem on aswell. if you...
