i'm looking into buying a v8 or t6 s80 and i was wondering if anyone could help me with the history of these engines? I'm looking for a car around 35,000 miles on it and can't decide which way to go. I had an 850 turbo and loved it. I don't know anything about the v8. Around an 08 or so. Any opinion...

You can buy refrigerant with leak/dye detector in it. It works nice and I didn't need a black light to see it. They recommend it, but not needed. My lines were leaking right at the "o" rings going into the condenser. Replaced them and charged the system back up, works great. FYI, before ch...

I just had my alignment done and it's probably coincidental,but i have a noise from underneath the hood. Only when i stop at a red light and sit there it's like a low decibal poofing/backfire noise.Weirdest thing I think I've ever heard. I can feel it in the brake pedal, that's how much i notice it....

lee.... i agree, leave them alone. the computer will adjust that after some driving. These cars aren't "old school" in that when you adjust something it will remain the same. The computers are there for a reason.Lay off the throttle from the light, lol that will help you out.

lee...... exactly what part do you shim? the pad? where do i get these shims. I've heard of shimming pads for years, but never ran into it as a problem.

very well could be a nail, but also could be a cv shaft. also check the tires, a "feathered" tire will produce some noise. also a "cupped" tire. With that said, your alignment would be responsible for tire wearing issues.

when the spring seats go bad,can they cause the front end to sway side to side?? I just had an alignment done after being sent away to fix my rh balljoint. Had alignment done, which is much better, but just feels "loose". With wheel held tightly, the front end wonders. I even had them redo...
