Thank you
I just traded in my S70 and wanted to say thank you to everyone in the community who has offered help in the past...you helped me save thousands by not having to go to the mechanic nearly as much. Just wanted to make sure you know how appreciative I am of all all the info you keep on this site, keep...

Re: 00 S70 - Driver seatbelt stuck
After looking around online, I have pretty much come to the conclusion that it could possibly be repaired, but it could also possibly cause it to not work properly for its intended purpose in an accident. I have looked around and found a few used ones on ebay and guess i will probably go that route....

00 S70 - Driver seatbelt stuck
When I got in my car earlier and tried to put on my seat belt, it locked after I pulled it out about a foot. I took the trim off and manually reeled it to almost it normal position, but it is still stuck (I was hoping it would make it unlock). I looked around, but don't really see anything that I co...

Re: 2000 S70 stuttering/jerking when at low RPM
Thanks for the info, glad to hear that it is not clutch related. Wasn't sure about the wires...when i looked online, i found a site that supposedly sold ignition wires for the s70, so i thought they were separate parts (obviously wrong info there). I took the air filter out yesterday and drove it ar...

2000 S70 stuttering/jerking when at low RPM
I really have no idea what is going on and I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. First I will note that this is a manual transmission so that the following makes sense. When I slow down a bit too much for a gear, but sometimes don't have a chance to downshift (1500 ~ 2000 rpm rang...

2000 S70 positive camber?
So...I replaced my front struts a few months ago and haven't gotten an alignment (I know i should have right away, i have just been slack). I noticed a couple days ago that the outside of my front tires is wearing much faster than the rest of the tires, so I am assuming I have positive camber (the t...

Re: 2000 s70 bad coolant sensor?
Thought I posted a reply the other night, but it obviously didn't show up. I couldn't see the sensor, so i poked at it with a screw driver and spun it around (before i saw your post ozark). The light did not come on at all yesterday, so that seemed to take care of it. If it starts acting up again in...

2000 s70 bad coolant sensor?
So, my low coolant light came on today on they way home from work. I checked the level in the overflow tank and it was only about a half inch below the max level. I added a little water just to get it up to the line. When I initially start the car, the light was off. As soon as I give it some gas, t...

Re: 2000 S70 - clunk from axle
I replaced the struts, spring seats, control arms and sway bar links. I did not replace the mounts b/c they looked fine and the info I got from almost everyone said that they rarely needed to be replaced. Also, one more thing to add to the initial problem. When I am in the 30-60 mph range, the car s...

2000 S70 - clunk from axle
I replaced a good bit of the front suspension a few months back and in the process broke the CV joints on both axles. I bought new axles (can't remember the brand name, but they were brand new from Advance Auto). Ever since then, my car makes a clicking sound almost every time I accelerate and a lou...
