Re: fuel pump replaced, now problems with accelerating

Not offended. Funny story I was on top of the empire state building when the dealership (in florida) called so the easier fix for me at the time was to spend the money. Car ready when I get back sounded good at the time.

Re: fuel pump replaced, now problems with accelerating

I will definitely try myself next time. Single mom, a couple kids and a couple jobs so its hard to find the time to get out a diagram and figure it out myself especially when I don't even know what a spark plug looks like. My original post was in hopes someone had these easy suggestions before I wen...

Re: fuel pump replaced, now problems with accelerating

I did not want to go back to the dealership, that is why I was trying to get some feedback. I don't trust the dealership. And I was right..but I took it back anyway. They said it was my spark plugs and charged me $225. But I didn't have a problem with this prior to the fuel pump. So the acceleration...

fuel pump replaced, now problems with accelerating

I just had the fuel pump replaced per the recall and issues I was having. Since I got the vehicle back, I have been watching the gas mileage go lower and lower every time I drive the car. Also, it seems to sputter when I am accelerating, feels like a loss of power for a second then jumps back into a...

Re: New Tires Worse Mileage

I would love to know as well. Same thing happened to me this summer when I bought new tires.

99 s80 radio code

I recently had trouble with the alternator, and the mechanic fixed it but he said since my battery was unplugged, the radio won't work and he doesn't have the code to fix it. Does anyone know where I can get the code? Cost?

air filter S80

Can anyone tell me how the air filter is supposed to fit? Should there be any bending amoung the folds? (as if it is scrunched in there)? I had one put in and my gas mileage went down. Also, can you tell me anything about the sensors connected to the air filter and possible problems that may have co...

Re: air filter

Thanks for getting back so fast..I took it to an oil change place, they do car washes, etc. Just basic stuff..
Which air filter do you recommend? (I wish I had my old one back, there was nothing wrong with it..I was being proactive)

air filter

I got my air filter replaced in my volvo S80 and now the gas mileage is horrible. I took it back and they said they put in the wrong air filter, it didn't fit well and (so I think) they changed it. However problem still exsists..Should I go to a volvo dealer? Would this problem cause such significan...

s80 rough ride

My 2004 s80 drove so smooth and got perfect gas mileage. Had the oil changed, and they had a package deal that cleaned fuel system and some other things I'm not sure of. Now car rides rough, feels like it revs high before it switches gears and the gas mileage went way down! any thoughts?
