Re: 2006 V70AWD rear trailing arm bushing replacement
I read front trailing arms to cause vibrations when really busted - i.e. bushing is separating from the metal sleeve, but I'm yet to hear a rear arm bushing to cause vibrations. Still, I might be wrong, but how are the rear CV joints? Original/replacement parts? CV Joints are fine. I had the car ja...

2006 V70AWD rear trailing arm bushing replacement
Hello everyone, Hopefully someone can help me with my problem, as right now I'm hitting a dead-end. I'm getting a vibration a speed coming from the rear of the car. A closer investigation shows me the bushing which connects the trailing arm to the subframe is shot. My problem is that I can't find a ...

Re: 2006 V70 A/C problems and compressor change help
I did a bit more digging into this. The compressor on this car looks like this one:

I'm having a difficult time trying to figure out as to where I would need to put the bread clips. Or am I out of luck and this model can't be shimmed.

2006 V70 A/C problems and compressor change help
Not sure if this is a double post, if it is, sorry! Last week, the A/C stopped blowing cold air. Tests on the system lead to me to believe that my compressor is not compressing. The clutch engages, but does not build any vacuum. So it looks like I will need to change the compressor (crap). I have a ...

Power steering leak...will this quick fix work?
Hello,
The return line on my 2000 S70's power steering has sprung a leak. I don not have the time right now to replace the entire line, I was wondering if the stop gap fix I had in mind would work: Cut out the rotten piece and replace it with the appropriate sized rubber high pressure line.

2000 S70 alarm not working
I have a 2000 s70, and as the title states, the alarm stopped working tonight. When locking the doors, the lights do not flash, and the red LED light doesn't "blip". I searched to find an answer, but I guess my search skills area lacking. The key fob still works, I can lock and unlock the ...

2000 S70 headlight adjustment
Hello everyone The passenger side headlight on my s70 is presently pointing to the sky. Doing a search, I foun the procedure for the adjustment on the 850, but the head light is different for the S70. I found the adjustment screw, but it seems that it is doing nothing to the level by turning it. Whi...

Re: !998 V70 crank case pressurizing
What would be the procedure for this?? I assume you run the car for X time, and then change the oil. As seafoam is not readily available in Canada, would any combustion chamber cleaner do the trick (ie; Cleens from GM)?

Re: 2000 S70 (non turbo) oil leak on intake
Lee I'm at work right now, but if you give an email address I will try to send you a picture. When you remove the cover for the spark plugs, the oil is pooling all along the back of the VALVE COVER (closer to the firewall). (D'OH! I just realized as to why this seemed confusing). It doesn't seem to ...
