'96 960 door hold spring broke
Driver's side door hold spring simply broke. Not a big deal but, is there an easy way to replace this thing??
Thanks,

Re: '96 960 vacuum brake booster
That indeed was the problem; the diaphragm was leaking. I elected to buy a used one for $75.
One local source said they no longer sell used brake parts for safety reasons.
Thanks

Re: '96 960 vacuum brake booster
After the engine is stopped, and I first press the brake pedal the hissing sound occurs only briefly . Does this mean that the check valve is OK and that the booster itself is leaking internally?
Thanks

'96 960 vacuum brake booster
I have an audible air/vacuum leak sound when depressing the brake pedal. Braking is somewhat delayed until I press the pedal more, then braking is better. I can find no reference to this booster part availability. What is the situation here??
Thanks

Re: engine miss/stutter at highway speeds
Finally got to the shop -- the "cam sensor" was replaced and all seems OK now. I hope that was all!!

Re: engine miss/stutter at highway speeds
Update: While cruising at about 40 mph, the engine(?) seemed to quit and restart rapidly about 5-6 times. I noticed that the gearshift (accidently) was in 3rd range rather than Drive. Could this mean that rpm is suspect? Or, how about the transmission trying to shift? The cutout is really abrupt, NO...

Re: engine miss/stutter at highway speeds
Thanks for all the suggestions. The problem seems to have gone away for now. I do plan to check the codes soon, however. I was wondering if water in the fuel might have been the problem????

Re: engine miss/stutter at highway speeds
Haven't checked the codes yet, but will. Both air and gas filters are not very old.
Thanks a bunch.

engine miss/stutter at highway speeds
I have a '96 960 sedan. Just recently the 6 cyl. engine seems to miss or stutter on the highway ONLY when I exceed about 60 mph. If I slow down a bit to 50-55, the miss goes away. Does this sound like a fuel supply problem (pump, injectors, or what??)
Thanks,
