Re: Aisin Timing Belt Kit on Amazon

I ended up selling the vehicle, so I did not purchase the kit.

Re: Just purchased a 2010 XC70 T6

I will answer my own question. Through some trial and error, since it was not in the manual, I discovered the control for the nav screen on the back of the steering wheel. I was able to turn the system off, and it appears it will stay off until and unless I ever want to use it.

Just purchased a 2010 XC70 T6

I just purchased a 2010 Volvo XC70 T6. It comes with the popup SatNav screen, but I don't want to use it, and honestly, it appears to not function properly anyway. Is there a way to completely disable it? Is it as easy as pulling a fuse or disconnecting the motor that raises and lowers it?

T6 Reliability over the 3.2

I am looking at an '09 XC70 with a T6. I was curious if anyone had feedback on the T6 performance. I have an '08 V70 with the 3.2 and it has been pretty solid. The T6 I am looking at has 134,XXX. Obviously its made it this far, but I want to know how problematic it is.

Re: 2008 V70 3.2l PO105 after alternator replacement.

When I clear the codes, while the car idles it shows no codes but after a few minutes the CEL reappears and the two codes are back.

2008 V70 3.2l PO105 after alternator replacement.

Replaced the alternator in my 2008 V70 with 140K mi. It has the 3.2l inline six, non turbo. Got a used replacement from Erie Vovo (I believe it as a Napa reman. The clutch on the old alternator was completely locked up. After installing the new alternator it charged as it should except now I have a ...

Re: 2009 XC70 I6 T6 - Buying Advice

The I6 is I believe the 3.2l that is used in Volvos, Fords and some Land Rovers. Its pretty solid. Unless Volvo has done some upgrades from their P2 and earlier platform, I am not a fan of their AWD systems. They have a failure point at the collar between the angle gear and transmission that has a h...

Re: Help me! It won’t start! 2011 Volvo S80 3.2

I am not sure how much help I will be, but your codes seem to point towards a cam and/or throttle sensor issue, or worse so, a timing issue between the cam and crank shafts. My experience has been that it is the sensor going bad that leads to the fault. I am not sure if the throttle sensor can cause...

Re: Replaced front hub, now ABS, Shifting/Limp mode issues

Thanks and great to hear from you. There is an unfortunate lack of information available for this vehicle. I miss my pre-2005 volvos. From everything I have read the ABS ring is a magnetic ring located on the rear of the hub itself, which appears to check out as there is a little finger on the senso...

Replaced front hub, now ABS, Shifting/Limp mode issues

2008 V70 130k miles. I just replaced the front passenger hub along with a new ball joint and tie rod end. Once back together and test driving it was smooth and quiet, no more wheel bearing hub/grind. I was having an ABS/DTSC issue prior to the hub change. My ICarSoft was showing an issue with the fr...
