Re: Parting 1998 Volvo V70 R Silver/Tan, entire car

Hi, I'm looking for two parts:
The temp sensor for the ACC (the one in the IP with the little fan in it);
and the trim piece that surrounds the interior tailgate release. Do you have those? Thanks!

I need the temp sensor for the ACC. The one with the small fan that's in the IP near the radio. Do you have that? If so, please PM or reply. Thanks!

Re: front end knocking noise on deceleration

Oh crap! That's it! I feel like an idiot. I was in a hurry because it was getting dark and I didn't fully torque down the lug bolts after getting the car off the jack stands. Thank you! The quote in your signature is perfect for this situation.

front end knocking noise on deceleration

Hi,
I replaced the left control arm on my 98 V70 yesterday and the repair was uneventful. I properly lifted the wheel before torquing down the frame bolts and tightened everything to spec. I drove it shortly last night and everything seemed fine. I just drove for a couple of miles this morning, and ...

Re: vibration and wheel bearing question

I turns out the problem was a bent rim along with user error. When I did the brakes, I also replaced the rear shocks. I had a hard time tightening the top shock mounting nut when I put them it. I went back in and was able to get the top nut down a little tighter. That ended getting rid of about 80 ...

WTB: One Antlia 15" wheel

I just discovered a bend in one of the wheels on my 98 V70 GLT. I'm looking for a stock replacement in decent condition. I'm in the Detroit area if anyone has one for a local pickup.

Re: vibration and wheel bearing question

Well, I'm trying to figure that out. There is a roaring noise at speeds over 30, but I can't determine what corner it's coming from. The front brakes are due for replacement and they're making some rubbing noises as well; I'm doing that this weekend. I've had a problem with intermittent vibration at ...

vibration and wheel bearing question

I have a 98 V70 GLT with 160k on it. My first question is on wheel bearings. I just did a brake/rotor replacement on the rear and I noticed a clicking noise while spinning the hub on the left side (just the bare hub, no wheel, no rotor). The one on the right was quiet. Is this an indication of a bad ...

Broken rear caliper bolt

I was changing the pads and rotors on my 98 V70 GLT this weekend. As my luck would have it, I broke the lower caliper bolt on the driver's side. I haven't gone back to take a look at the damage and I had to order a couple of caliper bolts from the dealer. It wasn't rusted; I was stupid and broke it ...

Re: V70 start stall issue

As I am now shopping for O2 sensors, I have read up a bit. Lots of folks have indicated that the universal sensors don't work, you have to buy OEM.

FCP $189
Eeuroparts $214.90
IPD $204.50
DW Volvo $287

OUCH!

If my research is correct, it appears both Bosch and Denso can be OEM.
The Bosch part ...
