Make sure the belt is on correct....check timing marks. If it is off, it could be a valve hitting the top of a piston....

Re: 94 850 turbo code reading question

Yeah I think it was a left rear speed sensor code when I read them.

lol I found both of the tweeter magnets under the dash...I'll look at the rears today, thank you.

Anybody have an idea on the dipstick smoke/steam when revved? All the things I've read about the PCV symptoms were at idle.

Re: S70 glt, 98, Remove & clean PTC unit (Was turbo oil leak)

I'm not sure if there is a actual procedure to take it out, but I just pulled it out. There is a hose clamp on the intake hose at the turbo....I think I loosened it from underneath. You probably want to remove it as there was oil puddled in mine when I did the PCV change.....along with all the other...

Re: 94 850 turbo code reading question

Good info, thank you! I will look at that today. On another note...I read the codes, then cleared them, and from the day bought this car the ABS and TRACS light has been on. From what I've read usually the ABS control module goes bad in these cars...now the lights are OFF!?? I seriously doubt cleari...

Re: Let's see your Volvo (The Photo Thread)

New here! Here's my 94 850 turbo. Paid $1500 for it, from a co-worker. Have had to put some work/time/money into it, but love the car. :)

94 850 turbo code reading question

I have a 94 850 turbo, it has an OBDII port in the console. I took the car to auto zone and had the codes read, no codes. From what I understand the OBDII port only reads engine codes...? I read the codes from the OBDI port under the hood and got some out of A2, A3, and A7...but can not get any code...
