trying to narrow down a PO 330 code. Any ideas anyone? Been a long time since any codes popped up but I'm stummpd as to what to look for.

I was wondering if any fender flares can fit a 98 XC V70? Mine came without the flares and was looking at the newer models and want to install some on my wagon.

I am answering my own question about r/r the intake manifold to replace the breather tube. Yes it must be removed. Cleaned the throttle body all new intake hoses, some had plain worn out and cracked. Running well and waiting for the next "check engine " light to appear. More fun working on...

I am chasing PO171 and they both seem to lead to O2 sensors, although I also have a MAF problem. Both are involved with lean and rick mixtures. Good luck!

Found a piece of the MAF floating around the chamber and ordered a used one from Fisherparts for about $40. Next on to the throttle body, then O2 sensors. Thanks for the replies.

Trying to diagnose the PO171 code on the 98 V70 XC and went to the MAF and visually it looks clean, so where does one go from here?

Has anyone replaced the MAF. It seems that my ODB II fault indicates a lean mixture, and that the MAF controls that air fuel mixture. Any way to visually inspect the MAF?

In my ODB II book the code came up PO171 (Bank 1). What is Bank 1 and Bank 2? Lou

OK so Iwas able to find and fix the PO455 ODB II code and check engine light came on after 300 or so miles and the code reader now says PO171.
