For those who have many of the wires severed, in my case, there were four yellow wires, two grey wires severed and was not sure which went where?! Here I am a year later.. this time all twelve wires of the upper left hinge area are severed. I will be fabricating some kind of stiff conduit to stop the flexing in this area this time around. See you later, I have a few hours of soldering and fabricating ahead! Graham.

I am looking for an answer to what is the color code for the wires in the wiring harness at the rear hatch hinge point that are for the Spoiler brake light and the alarm system. (I need to return / repair and switch them around following a repair to those severed wires).

Jinksman, I too had about eight of the thirteen (?) wires severed. Had to cut sections of wire out and splice in extensions. Used shrink wraps to secure and seal the solder joints. Wrapped the entire wire cluster with either 1/2 or 3/4 inch polyethlene "Split Loom" wire protector. When it ...
