Re: V70 climate control backlights

Where did you buy your led lights T4 neo wedge type http://www.autolumination.com/instrument_panel_bulbs_neowedge_t3_t4_t5_led_bulbs.htm I used this particular type but it looks like they also have other types now; wide angle lens, Japanese OEM, etc. Tall ones will likely not fit so use the shorter...

Re: V70 climate control backlights

This is interesting, why just the two lights are not working when there are 6 bulbs backlighting the panel. I would think power and ground to the 6 bulbs would be common so why just the two lights not working. You've replaced the two bulbs and still not working so it's possible something wrong with ...

Re: PCV replacement on 05 xc70

I always thought the "updated" banjo bolt was straight through in design due to that ball dislodging and going into the intake manifold and into a combustion chamber or have I got it wrong? The latest revision has the check ball and (from what I've read) it has an improved retention design to keep ...

Re: Rear Latch Always Open

I would definitely check the wiring in the left rear hinge area and be sure to pull back the protective jacket some as the broken wires could be back a ways under the harness jacket. I attached some photos I've found online with the problem. My car has the same problem and the intermittent tailgate ...

Re: 2.3L crankshaft gear puller recommendation?

I just did this job (replaced the crank front seal) recently and used a standard type medium sized 2 jaw puller to pull off the crank timing belt pulley. I do recommend using the special 4 bolt front pulley crank hold tool when loosening and tightening the crank pulley bolt. One thing you have to be...

Good deal on camshaft and cylinder head tools

Not long ago I saw these Volvo camshaft and cylinder head tools on ebay when I was replacing cam seals and searching for cam locking tool. These tools were much higher in price back then and I ended up getting just the camshaft locking tool (different manufacturer) but would have liked to have gotte...

Re: Thoughts on this leak? with photo!

From the location of the leak and from the picture it looks to me like the leak may be between the oil pump and case. There's an o-ring on the outside edge of the oil pump and it's a seal between the case and the pump. Has the transmission been apart? I'm wondering if the o-ring may have failed or i...

Re: PCV vent hose broken

Been trying to remove the lower part of the hose at the box : my hands are a bloody mess and I just cant seem to find a way to remove this damn clamp , the face where I should pry is facing the exact opposite of me. Any tips on how to remove it or is there a safe way to destroy it without breaking ...

Re: Vacuum Hose To Banjo Bolt Size? T6 engine but 2.5T Ok.

For the BLACK Plastic Pipe listed for T6 engine but used in 2.5T engine all the time, does anyone have a used one lying around and can measure for me the I.D. of this pipe? Is this around 3/16"? Can one use a fuel line with thick wall instead of this plastic pipe? https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/...
