Re: Speed sensor connection

Yep, I know for sure the connector with the 4 wires, 2 of those wires have to be connected to the transmission sensor. I've found one but, as you can see in the pictures, the wires have been nibbled off by rodents so I can not determine the color code and the replacement connector (picture) have di...

Re: Speed sensor connection

The connector with the 4 wires cut looks like the it might be the connector for the two transmission speed sensors. Can you check the wires coming from the two transmission sensors and see if it's these wires? The two transmission sensors are on top the transmission, one is near the back near the fi...

Re: 2001 V70 Anyone know where this sunroof piece goes?

There are two pieces like this, one glued to the front bottom of the sunroof glass and one on the back. In my case they didn't come completely off like yours but one end came unglued and they rattled. To repair you have to carefully remove the top edge of the accordian side covers (pull top edge awa...

For the front lock it sounds to me like it's the lock assembly itself, the door lock/unlock switch. Good information. I did update this in the video description. So the only way to be sure what to order is to read your old seal ? There are step studs that may work for you. I believe the standard water pump bolts are 7mm and there's a 8mm to 6mm step stud in 23mm and 31mm lengths. If you can drill and tap for the 8mm stud end it would be a better fix than epoxy. You also may be able top open the water pump hole opening to 8mm...

If you decide to do the pressure check I'll provide photos of the gauge and the 1/4 inch pipe fittings needed. I recall I had to get a 90 deg elbow and a short extension to attach the hose to some of the pressure taps. The Sonnax tech info provides the expected pressure readings. It would be nice t...

I'm actually fine with how the car drives now, but concerned that since the valve body didn't cure these problems, it may be some more serious mechanical issues that can get worse or dangerous if I keep driving the car. Thanks guys, boot kit on order. The boot spreader is interesting but looks like it needs a special inner clamp that can be opened to go around the driveshaft, and maybe special boots that won't break when stretched.
