Hi Mdpete3, I uploaded a Bosch doc on MAF sensors a couple of days ago, it is at https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/downloads/maf_airmass.pdf , it may have the information that you require, i am having some of the problems with my 850 as well and I think the non-Bosch MAF that I bought may not be wor...

Yet abother update... I have checked all of the wiring between the MAF and the ECU, all the connections show a resistance of approx 0.2 ohms , this is the value I get when I short the 2 meter leads together, so it must be about 0 ohms. I have measured the voltage on pin4 of the MAF when the engine i...

Just to keep you informed, I have cleaned out the PCV system (It was blocked solid), I have replaced all of the vacuum hose connectors (a lot of them were perished), cleaned the throttle body and even replced the o-ring on the vacuum tree (this had gone hard and was not sealing). I have checked all ...

Hi Madeinjapan, Thanks for the reply, I do not have a turbo, but I will check all of my hoses. I agree I have an air leak somewhere, there are about 5 different vacuum hoses on the inlet manifold, I am going to have to trace them all and check them. Thanks for the reply, I will let you you know if I...

1995 850 2.0 20V Idle and running problems
Hello, I have a 1995 Volvo 850 2.0 20V Automatic, the car appears to be between a 95 and 96 model as it has an OBDII connector, but I had to make a little LED and switch combo to read the usual flash codes, found the info on this excellent site. The car has recently had a full service, new plugs, ai...

1995 850 Radiator Replacement
Hello, I think I am going to have to replace the radiator on my 1995 2.0 20v 850 Estate with automatic transmission, when the engine is running I can see fluid leaking through the cooling fan housing towards the engine, I think this points to a leak on the inside of the radiator, this seems especial...

Volvo 850 Cold Start Problems

Once the car is started it runs fine with no apparent problems and any subsequent restarts once the engine the engine is slightly warm are ok. I have ...

Hi Kelvin, I would re-think the value of your resistor, a 3 Ohm resistor will draw a current of 4 amps and will dissipate a power of about 50 watts (lots of heat generated). You will need quite a few LED in parallel to give the same brightness as a 21Watt filament bulb, the light is also quite direc...
