Re: 1999 V70 T5 M56 seized rear right caliper... brake job 31262626/31262480 31262622/ 3(now turned into a bad parts thr

The last set of Bosch shoes I fitted on a 05 P2 were Bosch and considerably thinner braking material than OE. Same with the 740. So, the issue is either a bad set of shoes, fitted in reverse (don't ask me how I know!) or possibly a not fully relaxed/sticking parking brake cable.

Try dropping the ...

Re: Beryls Volvos timing belt question for Herd

Some belts have a date code on them. Maybe it is possible to see if they have one and work out from there.

Assuming you are not going OE Volvo. Continental does kits for 99- P80 cars at a reasonable price at Rock Auto. I just bought a kit with an Aisin water pump kit for an 05 P2 (same belt and ...

Re: P80 trapezoidal frame plate stiffener under car, part number 9133420

Ok, this has been bugging me. For the life of me I cannot picture where on the underside these plates fit. I've tried to find pictures on the underside of P80's but no luck finding any of where these are fitted.

What is the purpose and can someone post where they are fitted so if I do a junkyard ...

Re: Alternate part for Fuel Vent Hose

Hopefully it works out and is not a URO part repackaged! I bought a part from R&D a while ago and it was listed as an 'own brans' part. Turned up as a flimsy Pro Parts Sweden part. It is still sitting on a shelf should I ever get desperate!

Re: P80 trapezoidal frame plate stiffener under car, part number 9133420

Just got an answer from my Volvo dealer contact. Part is NLA from them. Maybe worth contacting Volvo direct. I did this once and they found me the parts in Australia.

Sorry, but the website had not been updated it looks like.

That part number is showing as retired.

I have asked my contact at Volvo parts to investigate if the other part number I listed a link for is actually available. It is showing as discontinued now at GCP.se

Re: Control arms

As to the differences I don't know and why they would be different who knows. As far as I recall they are all the same at the front including the AWD cars.

I find Meyle parts are hit or miss, but at the price of the eEuroparts clearance items it is maybe worth a chance. I am not sure about ...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

I hope it is not the pump as it has maybe only done 5k miles and is one of the last Volvo OE pumps left at the time. Not using the car enough could be the bigger issue here, but the boss says we should sell one of our 3 cars and use it all year round and not put it away for the winter.
Now I just ...

Re: 1998 C70 2.0 T5 (B5204T3) – WOT Misfire

Sorry, but I had to go back to the start to check what had been replaced and checked.

First question, do you still have the plastic cover in the distributor below the rotor arm?

Did you check for PCV back pressure (glove test). The reason for this is it is possible for oil to leak into the ...
