Re: '00 S80 T6 Electrical Problem?

I would take it to a parts place that offers battery/alternator testing services and let them do a load test and test the alternator/battery charging if possible.

Re: '00 S80 T6 Electrical Problem?

I agree that this is probably a regulator issue.

However, I would like to add that if you are experiencing these problems, to not use the AC/fan as the climate control module could get damaged by a varying swing in voltage.

Re: dead steering wheel

Post back and let us know if the turn signals work or not before you try to disconnect and what (if anything) changed afterward.

Re: '95 850 Turbo stalls at sustained highway speeeds

Here is a thread that can help with AC issues
..and here is one specifically for the jump start.

As for the turbo I will have to defer to others in the forum. I would suggest you check your hoses for dry rot/etc, just to rule out any of those.

hope this helps.

Re: dead steering wheel

It sounds like you have a problem with the steering wheel module. Does you turn signals and wipers work properly? Are the functions dead at all times or intermittent? You might be able to get them to work "temporarily" by removing/replacing the fuses for the swm/cruise/turn signals or by d...

Re: ALternator, regulator, or battery

If going to advance is a "short" drive, then I suggest you take the car and ask them to test the alternator (and battery again). They should be able to run a simple test to verify the voltage output of the alternator. A short distance drive does not sound the same as your previous trip sta...

Re: ALternator, regulator, or battery

This definitely sounds like the voltage regulator. Unfortunately, most chain parts stores don't sell just the regulator as it is an internal component of the alternator (with the brushes attached). If you can find an alternator/starter shop in the area, they can get you the voltage regulator and may...

Re: Turn Signals Stop Working?

It is not hard to replace, but you have to be aware of how to handle the airbag...Here is a post that directs to a write up that outlines how to remove the airbag/steering wheel..once you remove the wheel you have a plastic cover to remove and then you can get to the controls and then to the module....

Re: ECC had died.

Bart, To follow up on the CCM issue, I had to have the module programmed at the dealer to have it activate the compressor/etc properly. Also, you will notice that once you install the "new" one, that none of your auxiliary buttons work...the programming activates those as well. Lastly, if ...
