On my 244GL the transmission fluid dipstick has hi and low for 40 deg C and hi and low for 90 deg C - and there's a considerable difference. Friends (who don't have and have never had a volvo) tell me I should read the dispsticks when the engine is running. This, too, makes a considerable difference...
