Reset "Book service" message S80 2004
Hello everyone! My last post was in the 850GLT section. Today I am sharing the sequence that worked for me for resetting the Book service message. First: -It works with any miles in the trip odometer (mine was zero because I tried several methods and ended resetting both counters several times) - It...

Re: 99 V70 XC Tailgate lock assembly - broken!
A small plastic part is the main problem most of the times. Like in my case. Will post pics if I get to fix it

Re: 1999 V70 T5 Ignition Switch replacement with Pictures
Thanks for this excellent explanation, my electrical problems were more or less identical, when starting, the horn, window motors, heating/airco fan, radio, wipers, all didn't work. Two times, after driving 2-5 minutes, everything worked, the 3rd time driving, problem persisted. So, it looked simil...

Re: 1995 Volvo 850 won't start
I installed the new battery and still got the problem. Did the spark test and it was working fine so I took of the spark plugs again and checked them. Also tested the CMS and nothing. They where really wet so cleaned them and blew some air into the spark plug whole to remove excess gas. Put the spar...

Re: Dead dashboard backlights 850glt
Dear OzarkLee and Wilson850R
I've just bypassed the wires and it definitely got evident that the problem is the dimmer. Those are rare to find around this part of the globe. But I'll keep you updated. Meanwhile my dash lights are back although fixed.
Thank you guys!

Re: Dead dashboard backlights 850glt
Yes, that whole piece. There is a great thread on here with instructions on removing. It is very simple and might save you money and headaches. I had two electrical people look at it and quoted some crazy price for repairing. I found out when I removed to change the gear selector bulb that the left...

Re: Dead dashboard backlights 850glt
This will sound crazy but it was what was wrong with my 97. If not the dimmer switch or ignition switch pull the center console up and see if both of the plugs, black and grey, in front under coin tray are completely plugged in. That ended up being the problem on mine. BTW excuse me Sir! But nothin...
