1997 855R Red/Tan 152k miles
Rare Volvo 850R Wagon! This is honestly one of the cleanest and unmolested Volvo 850s you will ever come across. Completely bone stock with the exception of an aftermarket stereo and 2 10" subs(will be removed prior to sale, based on prospective buyer and final price) I have the original headun...

97 855R Which tires should I go with?
It's about time to replace my tires on the R and I am trying to decide which ones to go with. I currently have the Bridgestone Potenza RE050's on there and I would like something with a little better treadwear. I do not want to go with an All season tire primarily because I would like to keep this c...

97 855R Finally addressing the brake dust issue
My front rotors have started making noise when braking after they've been warmed up so I have decided to replace them along with maybe the ceramic akebono pads. I have brand new rotors on the rear and I will probably be putting akebonos on the back as well to have an even shade of dirt on all wheels...

1997 850R Factory Radio Amp
Does anyone know the output/specs of the Factory Volvo amplifier? I am considering replacing it with an aftermarket unit and adding aftermarket speakers as well. I currently have an aftermarket headunit and I really can't tell the difference between the sound of this car with an amp and my previous ...

Re: 97 855R Terrible Brake Dust..Ceramic Pads or big brake k
I have been using Akebono pads on the front of my '97 855 GLT for about 4 years. +1 on above comment that they leave little or no dust -- you will notice a huge reduction in dust over the Volvo OEM pads. As for stopping power, I think they're fine. My wife says they don't grab as quickly and requir...

How is the braking power/feel compared to the original pads?

97 855R Terrible Brake Dust..Ceramic Pads or big brake kit?
Front brakes are starting to make a terrible noise when warmed up so I am assuming its time for new pads and rotors. However I am actually quite happy because the amount of dust on my wheels is ridiculos! I have read about the Akobono Ceramic pads, does anyone have any experience with those? Obvious...

Re: 97 850R Am I the only one that likes turbo lag?
I'm with you, Koffin. I've had a couple big American V8s with their off-the-line necksnapping torque, and they're fun. But you never get more than whatever throttle you give them. The disproportionate throttle to thrust of these Volvo T5s, and their sound and wind-out thrust in gears 2-3-4 is just ...
