Timing belt broke on my 98 v70xc while going about 35-40 mph. The car runs(ran) great with 160,000 miles on it. Can you fix by just replacing the belt?

My timing belt broke on my car while i was in St. Louis(I'm from Pittsburgh) I have 167,000 miles on the car and the timing belt was just done at 138,000. Should the entire engine be replaced or just the head.

Thats my delima. there are no signs of coolant anywhere. The coolant "leak" only started after i took the car took the car to the local volvo specialist for the oil leaks. he told me the car isnt worth fixing.

haven't seen any signs of leaking on the radiator but i will check again. can you think of anything else?

Are you adding the sea foam to the engine oil or fuel? My 98 v70 xc has the smoking after idle problem. Car also has a rough idle, not a high/low idle just a little rough. Currently running 93 octane with Lucas octane boost.

I have a '98 v70xc and it is giving me this code. The idle is a little rough and the gas mileage I'm getting is around 13 mpg. Just bought the car in 9/10.
