Re: '07 S60R CAN Communication Issues after Battery Disconnect
Resolved - I always try to close out my help requests, even when it's a problem I caused. I looked at the wiring diagram and saw that all three no-comm modules (SRS, UEM and DDM) were on low speed CAN. So, I started troubleshooting the CAN circuit starting with the SRS connector that I had disassemb...

Re: '07 S60R CAN Communication Issues after Battery Disconnect
I tried shorting them for about an hour, reconnected in Pos II, Neg cable first, but it didn't appear to help. I haven't been back in with VIDA, but the interior lights and remote are still out.

Re: '07 S60R CAN Communication Issues after Battery Disconnect
Ok, no responses yet..., I did find a recommendation to disconnect the battery cables from the battery and short them together for 10 minutes. Then ignition in PosII, connect Neg first, then Pos. I've always done Neg last, not sure why it would matter. I'll give it a try unless someone has a better ...

'07 S60R CAN Communication Issues after Battery Disconnect
I was doing some diagnostics on the SRS module and disconnected the battery before I messed with the SRS connector. I shorted the battery Pos cable to the Neg cable to discharge module capacitors. First time I've done this, but I've read here and elsewhere that it's advisable to protect modules - no...

WTB: S60/70 Turn Signal Switch 31268578
Hi, I'm looking for a good Turn Signal Switch - 31268578, '99-'03 S80, S60, V70, XC70 w/ message center for my son's car. His apparently snapped off on a cold night when going for the brights. I'd rather throw a few bucks at a fellow DIYer than the eBay dismantelers. Thanks!

Re: 2007 S60 2.5T Occupant Weight Sensor
Brian, thanks for the input, very helpful. I may find my problem is in the SRS too. I did get a PC oscilloscope and was able to read the LIN signal under the seat. Next I'll check at the SRS. If it's good there, then I'll look a the SRS module. I'm not sure what you mean by resetting the SRS - after...

Re: 2007 S60 2.5T Occupant Weight Sensor
Thanks for the suggestion, but I've read that the BMW OWS is an analog output, not LIN. So there isn't an easy way to fake the OWS output with Volvo. So the CEM is indeed attached to the dash, so it's possible my car got the CEM replaced with a dash swap. I was able to read the CEM part number (3078...
