850/V70 Roof Load Bars

I have a pair of used Load Bars for sale. They are original Volvo and will fit 850's and early V70's that do not have roof rails (I do not think they fit the S70). They are non-locking, but they mount into two holes per door that are only accessible when the door is open, therefore no chance of stea...

1998 V70 - gas cap - One click or three?

HI all -
Just got a new OEM gas cap to replace my worn and tired old one, probably original to the car, hoping to put an end to my P0442 codes. Here's the question: the old cap says to "tighten to 3 clicks", the new one says to "tighten to click". So, one click or three?

Re: 1998 v70 where are child tether points?

I am trying to locate tether anchors for my '98 V70. I think it is part number 9136928-0. Anybody have one they would be willing to part with? Or suggestions as to where I can buy one? Thanks.

98 v70glt No start - battery, starter, alternator or?

98 v70 glt. No start today. Tries to turn over, a click and a whirring sound. Dash lights come on, fuel gauge goes up, but nothing. I'm not hearing much from the starter. The battery is a little over 3 years old, the alternator is 4 years old. As far as I know the starter has never been replaced. Ha...

Re: Anyone got one of these?

I would be happy to pay shipping plus cost of the part.
I have had bad luck with ebay in the past and I'd prefer not to have to go that route.

Anyone got one of these?

I'd like to replace my plastic spark plug/valve cover with the "20 Valve" designation as mine has a nice big crack in it where someone (not me) dropped it. The picture is not mine, but it's what I'm looking for. Also would like new bolts T30 torx? Thoughts on where I can find one without g...

Re: Rough Idle Cold Start Moisture?

Yeah, I will do that when I get home. It rained like a b***h here on Monday and Tuesday (Sandy - luckily not as bad as in NY).

Re: Rough Idle Cold Start Moisture?

Well, temp sensor is a couple years old, and OEM. IAC has been cleaned. Wouldn't a vacum leak manifest itself more when the car is hot and hoses have expanded? This happened last summer too, after a huge rain. I changed the caps and wires and it hasn't happned agin until now. I am hoping it is water...

Rough Idle Cold Start Moisture?

My '98 V70 GLT w/115k has developed an annoying habit of an occasional rough idle on cold starts. I'm thinking that it's moisture related because I think that every time it's happened has been after sitting for an extended period after torrential rain, like the hurricane we had this week. It fires u...

Re: Rough Idle After Heavy Rain

You know, it's funny that you mention that, because I opened the hood the other day and the rubber weatherstripping that runs beneath the windsheild at the rear of the engine compartment had popped up. I will check the wires and caps and probably just change them to be on the safe side. What do you ...
