I have the same noise coming from the front left wheel of my 96 850. On ly at the end of braking but sounds metal on metal. Mechanic said it is front wheel bearing, but I dont believe him. I just drove the car 2000 klms and there is no noise at speed. Only under braking. cant see any scpres or marks ...

Can anyone tell me exactley how to pull the drivers window switch apart and make it work again. Is it just junk on the contacts under the rocker switch that stops it working. ? Thats on a 1996 850 centre consol switch.

The one important thing you have failed to say is how to pull the switch apart. Im assuming the rocker on the top prys off to reveal a couple of rocker plates and small ball bearings. Are the cpntacts under the small rocker plates the bits that gum up ?

Yeah someone else has the same problem. But i dont know what the answer is except take the key out and put it back in again seems to work for us. We have had 2 850s and had the same problem with both. Just lived with it. As a last resort if you exit the car and lock the door with the key, it will ...
