Re: Battery draining, need help.
I tripped the alarm on purpose and the hazard lights flashed and the horn honked. Does this car have an actual siren as well. I did take the siren fuse out after that and the battery held a charge last night. This morning I found two wires that actually broke in my hands in the wiring bundle going t...

Battery draining, need help.
About 3 weeks ago my wife's battery died. It was 5 years old to the month. So, I just replaced it without question. Shortly after that, the trunk started unlocking itself at random times. Also, pressing the micro switch in the trunk lid would only unlatch the trunk about a third of the time. Unlocki...

Re: Spring seat, strut mount question.
I replaced the strut bearing plate. All the auto parts stores I priced call it a strut mount. I see it referred to here as a strut mount as well. That's why I was calling it a strut mount. I like knowing the correct name for parts though.
Thanks for the info. I'm glad I have 2 new seats on order.

Spring seat, strut mount question.
My wife's S60 was making a clunking noise coming from the upper passenger's side front strut area when hitting bumps. The struts are less than a year old. I suspected a bad strut mount. I placed a wrench on the nut on top of that strut and could turn it all the way around. I did the same on the driv...

Seat covers recommendation.
My wife's driver's seat has a few areas that are completely worn. Does anyone have any recommendations for replacement seat covers that fit like factory?

Lower engine/transmission torque mount.
While I was under my wife's car today, I noticed the lower engine/transmission torque mount had a lot of play in it. I'm curious. What are the symptoms of this part wearing out? I only drive this car a few times a month. I've ordered a new one. What improvements should I expect? 4f4bc7b6cb07c_80294b...

Re: Torque rod movement, how much?
New bushings was what I meant when I said " servicing". I might give the poly bushings a shot.

Re: Torque rod movement, how much?
Yes, I'm talking about that bar in the engine compartment. I've seen it called several things. I don't know the correct part name. I was just cleaning the engine and noticed how loose it was when I was wiping it down. If there is too much play, what would I feel when driving. Or, better, what notica...

Re: Torque rod movement, how much?
My mount is like that, "sloppy". I think I'm going to order new torque rod mounts with bushing and a new upper mount.
Thanks for the input.

Torque rod movement, how much?
I searched here and found a few posts with "torque rod" in them. But, none of the ones I read really answered my question. Sorry if I simply overlooked a post answering my question. How much movement should there be when you rock the torque rod whith your hands? I get a lot of movement fro...
