Re: Maintenance overdue message reset - 2017 XC60

I mentioned a 2017 XC60 in the subject line. That's the one I need help with. My older cars are so much easier to reset....

Maintenance overdue message reset - 2017 XC60

I tried watching a couple videos regarding the "Maintenance overdue" message reset process. No luck with either video. Does anyone know what the process is? I did try to search on this site and did not find the process.

Thanks in advance for help with this!

1996 Volvo 850 engine vibration - bad power steering pump?

I have a 1996 Volvo 850. It has an engine vibration and the power steering seems to cut out every so often. Is it possible the power steering pump is bad and causing the vibration?

Thanks in advance for constructive input!

Re: OBD I style LED Flash code Reader.

Electrical stuff has always been my weak point. Is this really as simple as it appears? If I am reading the diagram correctly, I could take a simple test light and connect it between connections 3 and 16. Then put a simple on/off switch from connection 5 to the test light? Is it really that simple? ...

Re: 96 Volvo 850 Climate Control Blinking Lights

I elected to try the 850 OBD-II app. I have not been successful in finding any ECC codes with that app at all... The info screen in the app shows: OBDII PIDs ECU 1F has PIDs (01) supported ECU17 has PIDs (01) (03) (04) (05) (06) (07) (0C) (0D) (0E) (10) (11) (14) supported MIL OFF: DTC: 0 codes I wa...

Re: 96 Volvo 850 Climate Control Blinking Lights

I attached my bluetooth dongle and tried the 850 OBD-II app. Was able to turn off the service light!!! Wooo Hooo!!!

I did a scan on the car too. Not sure what I am looking for to solve my issue with the CCM/damper motors. How do I use the app for this purpose?

Re: 96 Volvo 850 Climate Control Blinking Lights

So, given that I have a 96, it appears that I need a special Volvo tool to pull the codes from the CCM?

Never thought I would miss the prior OBD system...

96 Volvo 850 Climate Control Blinking Lights

I have the dreaded blinking lights on my 96 Volvo 850's Climate Control Module. I put in a new blower motor, tried 2 different CCM but the blinking lights remain. Here's the current situation: The lights on the CCM blink for a bit after the car is started. Then the blinking stops. No air comes from ...
