Hi, my outside temperature display reads correct temp when I start ignition. However when I begin to drive the display counts backward to 66 degrees. I replaced the sensor in the mirror about six months ago. Could the problem be anything else before I call a garage?

I understand the sensor is in the driver's side mirror. Can you tell me how to pop off the cover to change the sensor or should this only be done my a certified mechanic? I see that I can buy the part online for about $126.00. My husband is pretty handy so he will do it if we are sure we won't ruin ...

The dashboard display for ambient temperature does not work in my 2006 S40. After checking forums I seem to need a new senor or at the least to check for corrosion of the old one.
