Moreover, about 10 days ago, I removed the blower to give it a good cleaning (blower was noisy). It worked flaslessly until today...

I can screech the tires anytime, on rainy or dry road. Even my 99 S70 w/STC prevented that...

Mine has the 2.5T engine. I spoke to a service manager, who was formerly Parts manager, he's been working fir that dealership in montreal for many years, he confirmed not all 07 had STC or DSTC

I am another one of those 2007 owner w/o STC/DSTC....

I removed the bearing support yesterday and the bearing itself is loose on the shaft, and of course, displaced.I cant slide it back in its original position, so we will have to remove it and put a new one back with press. My mechanic has done it recently on a V70R and all went fine.

Thank you mate, I got similar information in the last hours... I will remove the 2 nuts and inspect the bearing.

If the bearing is bad, I guess I'll have to remove the entire shaft, slip (read :press) a new bearing into place and put it all back in ?

I just got a 2007 V70.
I dont have the DSTC button on the center console, and nothing in the Dash Computer about it (supposedly, there's an OFF/ON option in the dash computer).... I heard that DSTC was standard in 2007, I do I know if I have it ? I can screech the tires at start

I know I have a leak right before the muffler this time, I'll patch and reset the code. Will let you know.
