I'd prefer to not have my ride much more stiff, but am considering lowering. My mechanic loves Eibachs, but was impressed with IPD sway bars.

So - IPD or Eibach to lower a 99V70 without a decrease in comfort? Or neither?

What's the full procedure to reset the ECU on a 99 V70? I only saw bits and pieces in this thread. Is there a checklist somewhere?

Had the same problem on same door. You need a new lock actuator. $150 for the part.

Funny, my locks seem to act up more when its warm. During the summer, only 2 doors open, but during the winter all 4 usually open. I guess its time to buy a new lock actuator...well, 2 really. This is my issue. Those actuators are expensive - got one from a junkyard. New they're 150. Which 2 doors ...

The problem was interesting - it is solved. It actually solved two problems -the failure of the driver side latch to release (latch is fucntional), and the rattle. At the bottom section of both latches, where the hood 'hook' would settle at the bottom of the latch, there used to be small rubber bump...

I will. I also found a thread (from a google search, didn;t come up when i searched forums) on the issue that I bumped. It also discussed a problem with the driver hood latch sticking shut, which is one that I occasionally have.

I'm going to check the bumpers, too.

I've had this happen before too but pulling the lever under the driver's side dash would get it loose for me. I really have not messed with the latches on my car. The only thing I've done is beef up the rubber bumpers (they do seem to become thinner after several years) so that the hood doesn't rat...
