Re: AWD Rear Wheel Bearing Replacement?

Hi, I need to replace the rear right wheel bearing on my 98 v70r. I was hoping you could tell me what I need to take off in order to press the bearing out. My idea so far is; -Remove wheel etc, -Compress suspension. Is this to release pressure on bolts? Does it need to compressed to remove just the ...

Re: How often do you guys flush your ATF?

Ya I doubt it is available in 5l jugs. $8 would be great. $13 here in Vancouver but I have yet to shop around. However I doubt I'll find it cheaper. $200 for tranny oil alone is grating on my somewhat though.
I wonder if there is wholesale places where indy shops get their oil that I could get 14l.

Re: How often do you guys flush your ATF?

Thanks for the clarification. I will probably flush with synthetic now instead.
Can Mobil 1 synthetic be got in 5l jugs?

Re: How often do you guys flush your ATF?

Does anyone know if its okay to mix synthetic atf with normal atf? I want to do a drain and fill but I am unsure what type oil is currently in the transmission. I presume its Not synthetic. I have a 98/v70r with 265k. The oil is still pinky red but I would like to change it. I have put 35k on the ca...

Re: Removing glass

Hi, I have the exact same issue except I do not have a copy of VADIS. Could you tell me how to remove the glass? It seems to be glued to the aluminium channels so I presume I must remove the channels from the green rollers. How do I do this? I had a look yesterday but didn't want to risk breaking it...

Re: Ecc flashing lights-blower not working.

So I removed and cleaned the cabin sensor and fan. I tested it as I reinstalled it and the fan works fine. Is there any way of checking that the ECC 'resistor' is working? Can I check voltage before and after the resistor? Or is it a case that if the blower, ECC controls and sensor are working, then...

Re: Ecc flashing lights-blower not working.

Thanks, I will remove the cabin sensor and clean it this evening.
Is there a small fan in the sensor that clogs with dust and dirt that can cause this issue also?

Re: Ecc flashing lights-blower not working.

I was of the opinion that if the blower didn't work at full speed then it was not the resister at fault?
Am I wrong and it could still be the resister even if the blower does not work at full speed?

Ecc flashing lights-blower not working.

I am getting the flashing lights as seems to be a common problem. The blower does not work and the lights flash for approx 20 seconds. I removed to blower motor and it works when connected to the battery so i presume that's not the issue. The blower does not work on full speed and the resister looks...

98 v70r front repair help

Hi, I'm pretty new to Volvo's having only bought my first last August. A 98 silver v70r. 230k and stock. It now has 248k and has saved my ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD in a t-bone accident. A 04 toyota echo is no more but my v70r seems to have come out of it pretty well along with myself. I was travell...
