Failed it's test on:
Corroded brake disc
Handbrake below specs
CV boots
Exhaust bracket
Tyre damaged.

Re-test this morning, passed :D

All back together, quick test drive and all seems OK, booked in for it's re-test Monday.

If you look at my avatar you can see my daily drive, with a half race 2.1 pinto engine(petrol) and 38 DGAS weber carbs I can if I'm lucky with the traffic coax 20mpg out of it :roll:

Got the shaft out at last. Everything went OK(as per the tutorial) until I got to pulling the shaft itself out, it came so far and then refused to come all the way. I cut the inner boot away cleaned all the grease off but could see no reason why it wouldn't budge, eventually put the drive in neutral...

My every day go to work motor is a kit car(Jago)first built in 85 rescued as a complete wreck from a barn and restored(almost)over a couple of years. As with most kits it is an ongoing "labour of love/hate".

Try to grab a VADIS or even a Haynes manual from E-bay/Amazon, better than nothing. Also, look around about pulling the axle, one thing I think I saw was the use of a "special" tool, essentially something that looked a little like the end of a wrecking bar to help pop the axle out of the ...

Hi new to this forum so forgive me if this is in the wrong section. I am in the UK and have a 1998 V70 Automatic (right hand drive)and need to change the right side CV boots.
