I did some research and found a Volvo dealer believe it or not will do the work for 475.00. and another shop shop, one I recommended can do it for 300.00. the shop I was looking at charges 99.00 an hr that's why they were so high. hard to believe a Volvo dealer is cheaper than a general shop.

I am guessing but I did have a similar problem with my s70, and it was a vacuum hose on the air breather box.

wanted introduce myself. and say hi to everyone, not new to Volvo, just traded my s70 and bought an s80, had the s70 for 4 years bought it with 139,000 miles. it had 250,000 when I traded. wanted something with a few more options and power.
