ok right. I just decided keep it simple and do from the converter back with Starla ($200 complete). Would it impact performance if i swapped out a muffler with a glass pack or Thrush "turbo muffler" or just sound loud and cheesy?

For all those who read this post...
In this case, (and i'd bet most) each lead has a 'position' designated on the plug housing. 1and 2. Fortunately they are labeled at both ends.

The speed sensor on the differential has 2 male connections, thus there are two wires that run from the speed sensor back to the control unit. Both of the wires were weathered pretty badly so i took everything apart and re-soldered the connections in haste and i can't tell which side of the clip to ...

I kind of figured it wasn't one of the first things in at the factory...
Taking the whole thing out, sanding it down, gluing new fabric, then re-installing seems like it's the only way to get this done right...

740 sedan headliner
Does anyone know if the headliner can be dropped and rotated for removal from the 740 for repair and re-installation? Will it fit through the door opening?
Tried to re-glue existing headliner fabric in place with little success...
