Re: 1998 S70 Speedometer and odometer quit

ok, after attempting to unplug my front wheel sensor from its harness the wires simply disintegrated - the sockets inside of the harness are practically glued in place by scale and residue. I just ordered a used sensor still in its harness for $35 and it will arrive next week. The last owner lived i...

Re: 1998 S70 Speedometer and odometer quit

ok, I just installed a rebuilt ABS module that I purchased on ebay for $100, and my speedometer and odometer are still out. I'm moving on to my front wheel sensor next. Does anyone know the ohms resistance for an ABS sensor on a 1998 S70? I'm thinking that since I only have one sensor connected up f...

1998 S70 Speedometer and odometer quit

Hi, my speedometer and odometer stopped working. I replaced a steering knuckle last year and the knuckle was not from a 1998 as advertised on Ebay, so my abs sensor did not match. However I installed the knuckle anyway since I accidentally destroyed that abs sensor while removing my old knuckle. To ...

Re: Turbo hose install, 1998 S70 GLT

A higher quality MAF solved my stalling problem, and removed my running lean code.

Re: Difficult to instal large black air hose into turbo

I removed a bit of inner plastic and the air intake tube now fits my tubo spout, however engine is still stalling. I read that my MAF should read 10+ ohms at pins 1 & 2. However my MAF is reading 2.3 ohms at pins 1 & 2 - I just ordered that MAF for $25 dollars last week. I think that it migh...

Re: Difficult to instal large black air hose into turbo

Visualy measured with my ruler and they are pretty close. However, I noticed that the bottom inlet on my old hose is loose and flimsy allowing the lip of the turbo spout to slide into the grove of the air hose with ease - while inlet on my new hose is stiff and rigid therefore the lip of the turbo s...

Re: Difficult to instal large black air hose into turbo

I'm thinking that I should return my new hose (part #9180200) and try to get my $90 back, and then purchase a used hose with the oringinal part number (#9180764) for around $30.

The hose appears parallel while attempting to instal.

Turbo hose install, 1998 S70 GLT

Hi, I have a 1998 S70 GLT and I'm wondering why can I not push my largest black plastic air hose onto my turbo? Its a new hose, the item number changed from 9180764 to 9180200. Has any one else had difficulty sliding this plastic hose into place? The old hose came off fairly easy - this new hose see...

Re: 1998 S70 stalling no codes?

No, the coil and (I think the other part on the coil bracket is the resistor - I'm not certain). For $25 got the entire bracket assembly last year. I can post a pic later.

Re: 1998 S70 stalling no codes?

After replacing my fuel pump, fuel filter, IAC, and MAF - my problem ended up being my ICM (ignition control module). I just replaced that part last year (aftermarket - only cost $25). Luckily I had a spare lying in the garage - hooked it up and she came to life again. Stalling without any codes - t...
