2013 XC70 Odd Blower Issue
The blower motor on my HVAC system used to work fine. Now it works fine when the ignition is on but the engine is not running (good air flow from the vents, fan runs slow to fast when the settings are varied as it should etc). But when I start the engine the airflow drops dramatically and the blower...

Re: 2001 V70 T5 Question on Boost Sensor (MAP)
Thanks for the info Jimmy. Just to confirm then, there is no actual MAP on this car? Just the boost sensor on the intercooler manifold? I have only ever run 87 octane (it's a big tank to fill!) so there will be a limit to what I can get out of it power wise. Cheapest regular around here is $3.85, $4...

2001 V70 T5 Question on Boost Sensor (MAP)
So I don't have a specific issue or problem with the car. Just seems like it does not have quite the oomph that it used to when I got it first (at 120K mi, has 140K mi now). Could be that I am just used to the power now and simply want more. So I decided I would tinker a bit and replace the TCV hose...

Re: 2001 V70 T5 Vibration when suspension under load
Okay - all done. LCA, Ball joint and sway bar link replaced on driver's side. Nice and solid at the front now. Vtl, I tried compressing the strut spring, but the compressors I have are quite bulky and were getting caught between the spring and body. Gratuitous use of the jack eventually got the ball...

Yep. Might try that on the other side tomorrow. Thanks to the tip.

Re: 2001 V70 T5 Vibration when suspension under load
Just an update. Parts came in from FCP yesterday. Replaced upper and lower torque mounts last night, both were pretty bad. The top one had been replaced by the previous owner but was shot. The bottom one was a mixed bag, larger bushing seemed okay, but the smaller one was basically not there, almost...

Re: 2001 V70 T5 Simplest way to get to passenger blender
Thanks. Yep, the "hotter" spouse line went down well last night! Okay, so I had another look at this today. This time, I removed the glove compartment. I can see three damper control motors, and can clearly identify the passenger temperature damper control based on hearing its activation a...

Re: 2001 V70 T5 Simplest way to get to passenger blender
Thanks. I should clarify, this issue is observed with the AC off. When both temp controls are set to lowest temp with AC off, I get ambient temperature air on the driver's side, but noticeably heated air on the passenger side.

Re: 2001 V70 T5 Simplest way to get to passenger blender
Okay - so I went in through the console following the excellent instructions in this video.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glvHx2bX5d0. Looks like the controllers for the climate control are inside the large black box behind the center console and this looks like it would required the whole dash to b...

Thanks. Original dealer won't provide me with the info. Oh well, not a biggie.
