Re: 04 Volvo s80 T6 Intermittent trans problems
Finally got my car back from the dealer's shop today. Rebuilt trans from ETE Reman seems to be working excellent. By the way, Route 66 paid for all the cost except for the taxes. My total was $160.

Re: trigger button on gear selector
You may have to buy a new gear selector lever.I found them selling around $ 100. It's fairly easy to replace by any mechanic.

Re: S80 Volvo CD Player Problem
I finally got to speak with Volvo customer care today. I was told that Volvo doesn't do repairs. They replace components on the vehicle only. I spent about 30 minutes on the phone arguing with them about why they don't do repairs and was told that was the manufacturers recommendation. So the problem...

Re: S80 Volvo CD Player Problem
I emailed Volvo last night after I got off here. They called this afternoon and left a voice-mail for me to call back. Unfortunately I was busy the whole day. I'm going to talk to them tomorrow most definitely.

Re: S80 Volvo CD Player Problem
I've had the same problem before with my 2004 S80. I have posted it on here but haven't had any response. The CD came back but now the TV option is not showing. I'm not sure what the cause is. The dealership wanted me to buy a new system. Let's call Volvo USA and complain about this 1-800-458-1552 ....

Re: 04 Volvo s80 T6 Intermittent trans problems
As these transmissions are a GM design and fitted to a variety of different vehicles there's a good chance the rebuilder has lots of experience with them. Most of the forum members here have had to shell out of their own pockets and have mostly opted for used ones, which is always a greater risk th...

Re: 04 Volvo s80 T6 Intermittent trans problems
SO I took the car the the dealership and they're going to replace the transmission. Estimated cost is $ 5200 for a new one. I have an extended warranty from Route 66 ( not sure if anyone has used them before). Got a phone call today and they discussed my options of getting a new tranny put in by the...

2004 S80 T6 Premier TV
Hello all, I've been reading this forum in the past for some quick remedies or tips before I made visits to the shop when I owned a 2000 S80 T6. I used this site to remove my ETM and clean it. Great tips and thanks everyone for what they share on here. I decided to register today so I can also contr...

Re: 2000 S80 T6 ETM Replacement
Brought my wife's S80 T6 in to have it checked. It has approximately 103k miles. They came back with a laundry list of problems and parts needing to be replaced that totaled over $3500. One of the things they mentioned was the ETM. I asked my wife (since she's the primary driver) if she'd ever had ...

Re: 2000 S80 T-6 runs rough
Steve, you may need a new ETM. I had this problem with my 2000 S80 T6 before. I changed MAF and it drove fine for a while then the problem came back. I finally cleaned the ETM and the problem went away. Check to see if it ever had the software update. Next will be cleaning the ETM. There are posts o...
