Re: A/C Recharge on P-2 V-70R
The port on my 99 is low on the passenger side between the radiator and the serpentine belt.

Re: Upgrade to S80 speakers?
If you're pulling from a junk yard, I'd try speakers from rear doors from S/V70s first. They seem to be 2-ways with a tweeter rather than a cone. You'll have to install them with the frames from your existing speakers.

My Volvo 6cd changer isn't working
The stock external cd changer on my '99 V70 quit playing. I don't know when it stopped, but when the 3cd changer on my recently installed SC-901 stopped working, I put some cds in the external changer and the readout says No Disk. Thankfully I was able to get my 3cd working after following gapco's n...

Re: Fuel door stuck
I removed the inner panel and felt around but couldn't find the manual release or feel the plunger on the solenoid. So I went to the pick and pull to practice. No wagons but I found a sedan. I found the solenoid and was able to pull the plunger back to open the door. But couldn't do it on my car. th...

Re: Fuel door stuck
Thanks to all. I have 1/4 tank to get me to the weekend when I can work on it, if I can tear myself away from ACC basketball.
I'm going to start by trying to remove the panel to expose the solenoid. If that doesn't work, I'll try to jimmy the latch from the outside. Thanks again.

Fuel door stuck
The fuel door on my '99 V70 doesn't open. I've searched but not found the answer. I think previous models had a manual release, but mine does not. I have read that the fuel door release is connected to the door locking system and switches sometimes hang up and mess up the fuel door release. But I ha...

Component speakers in front?
Can I install component speakers in my '99 V70 front doors and dash using the existing stock wiring? I have searched and gotten lost in some of the detail about ohms and watts. I'm wondering if I can separate the components and install the speaker in the door and the tweeter in the dash using the st...

I'm getting ready to replace my working SC816 in the next week, if that will help.

Re: Add an Ipod Input to tape player of SC-815/816
I have an external CD changer in my car and am adding an SC-901 head unit with an amp out of an 850.
If I leave the changer operational and splice a switched iPod connection into the audio leads from the changer, would both devices be playable? Isn't that what was done here? Thanks.
