I just got a CEL for multiple cylinder misfire on a 98 S70 T5 with 268k. Cylinder 1,2,and 4 misfire. plugs and wires changed around 250k,pcv system also done 250k, any other suggestions? I would check your coolant temp sensor also. normally they are on or near the thermostat housing.

are you getting any check engine lights?

My Range Rover had the same problem. It wouldn't show CEL light even though it was failing inspection. I had to replace the ECM and BCM ($80 from junkyard) and it fixed after that. Maybe, you might have to do the same.

Your bulb maybe out for the check engine light. I would check that first, which is also the easier in my opinion.

Get your alternator checked and diagnosed.

Thanks, will check for them in the morning. The rattling noise is coming from driver side on mine. there are two mounts, front in front of motor, near bumper (torque mount) and other is under the brake booster. I think its the tranny mount near front bumper.

I drove about 4 weeks before I could swap it out with a new one. The new mount was purchased from eBay and pressed in with a shop press. ...

I will try that today. I just recently changed wires about 15k miles ago and plugs too. Oil cap seal has been replaced around 15k also. the pvc system around that time too. I do have a RMS leak, pretty bad. My car stays lil past normal on the temp guage, so maybe that overtime messed up the head gas...
