Re: 99 V70 P0137 replaced sensor still low
Returned again low voltage rear. The real problem was that I didn't tighten the O2 sensor enough. This allowed O2 to enter at certain speeds. Dah

Re: O2 sensor, '98 volvo S70
I didn't see anything about which fuel management system each had. This is all during the change from Bosch to Denso. The Denso front sensor is way different than the rear. The front sensor Denso is a air/fuel sensor and the rear is an O2 sensor (same as 850's). The Denso square plug correct positio...

Re: 2001 V70 mechanic is stumped -- stalling at idle, no cod
I had a pull out your hair problem with my 99 v70, no codes and drive cycle tests would not clear. Finally, I started just replacing or checking parts. Started with MAF, then ETM. Bingo! The original ETM had a problem with no indications. Look ETM up here on this site and you will find some like you...

FYI:
The new style stretch bolts that are tightened by turning X amount after a min. torque do not need retightening. This advantage is the reason that this style was addopted. The old style with a specific torque setting, benefit from a retorque

Re: 99 V70 P0137 replaced sensor still low
I have never taken my personal car to a mechaninic since 1964. That time I realized the mechanic ripped me off, but I may be going to one soon. If I weren't retired, I would have done so by now. I am still messing with the same problem. (The new O2 sensor changed some after a few miles. This may hav...

Re: 99 V70 P0137 replaced sensor still low
After checking every component and a thorough search for a vacuum leak and much hair pulling, I saw that the front sensor was working, but maybe low. The front sensor with Denso fuel management is different than the rear (Zirconium, I think. The rear is the same as an 850 or '98 S or V70. I bought t...

Re: 1999 V70 B5254T VVT Head Removal Advice Needed
Those engine restore additives that are sold in autoparts stores and walmart have a chemical that softens the rubber in seals. I used to think that they were BS.
I have fixed both engines seal leaks and a balky transmissions that would not shift into gear when cold.
Takes a couple of weeks to work.

Prayer unanswerred. The voltage is low coming from the ECM.
Gonna try replacing it next. PicknPull.

Re: P0136 pd Malfunction
I have the same problem. I think that the Denso sensor are a different type than pre 99. I read a Volvo documernt stateing that this engine control is named ME7. There is a voltage that goes to the sensor and the sensor varies resistance. Vacuum is perfect, changed sensor and got thee same low volta...
