Re: 2005 XC90 T6 Executive Project Car.
i have had a few of these xc90 projects. Been paying $600 for them. One thing i noticed is that the stereo, are fiber optics, and a pain in the ass to replace; they often start to go whacky, and cause a battery drain... so look into that. Also, it sounds like you were on the right track. I have foun...

Re: Cheap Timing Belt Discussion
On a Volvo, im not sure WHY YOU ARE WORRYING AT ALL, since you can pop off the edge of the timing cover SO EASILY and simply look at it! Done and dusted. Whats all the whoopla about worry and doubt. I only buy cheap kits because GUESS WHAT, you are all mental; most of the kits are all made in the sa...

Re: 01' S60 No Electrical (except radio) Help! (Drove it, replaced a part, now nothing!)
I checked fuses. I haven't found any busted or blown. But my engine doesn't turn. Nor try. No dash lights. The dime lights come on normally when connecting battery then go off as soon as key is inserted. It's like everything is disabled. But I didn't change anything fundamentally. Makes no sense. I ...

01' S60 No Electrical (except radio) (Drove it, replaced a part, now nothing!)
I bought a project 2001 S60 with 170k. History, It needed a heater core, and blower motor wasn't working. When I bought it, I put in a battery, and I drove it home. I replaced the blower motor and resistor. But when I went to reconnect battery, and test it out, there was no power to anything beside ...

Re: clicking door hinge a simple fix!
I have the same middle door hinge check strap problem. I see the Torx bolt there. I think a piece of metal needs to be welded on mine thoigh. Can anyone tell me what that middle arm piece actually functions as? Can I just remove that thing? Or is it connected to the door sensor ? Curious because I d...

Re: 99' S80 T6 Cam Seal Replacement/ Oil Leak Repair,Timing,
You're welcome. I've done a number of timing belts on many volvos since this write up, s40, various s80 years, and even the xc70 looks generally the same. If your 08' has the same general engine layout, and IF YOU HAVE THE CAM STABALIZING TOOL, it's really a breeze!! Just make sure to mark the cam p...

99' S80 T6 Cam Seal Replacement/ Oil Leak Repair,Timing,PCV
Hello. I'm here to share a recent repair I've finished on a 1999 Volvo S80 T6 (2.8 liter turbo automatic dual over head cam VR6) This is applicable to all P2 Volvos generally, as the repair here is the CAM SEAL Replacement, with an overview on checking the PCV Air System (Positive Crank Ventilation)...
