Hi,
I am about to buy a 2001 Volvo S60 with a broken DIM. Is there a way to check the actual mileage since the cluster is broken?
Thanks!

Re: 1998 Volvo S70 Non-Turbo, 173k miles. Retime cams
When I try to start the engine, the engine turns but I don't hear any cranking. I can physically see the TB and SB turning but no cranking noise.
Could the starter relay or starter be bad coincidentally?
I checked the relay and it had a little bit of black on part of one of the prongs.

UPDATE: I checked and reconfirmed alignment on back of engine and the cams are aligned with the seam around the engine. I put an ounce or less oil in the spark plug holes and it still will not start. However, now I am getting code 410.
Any thoughts? It ran perfectly before I replaced the camseals.

This might be a silly question....how do I remove the bolts on the rear without turning the camshafts? Do I need a special tool?

Re: 1998 Volvo S70 Non-Turbo, 173k miles. Retime cams
Hello, I took everything a part for the 3rd time. Mae sure in fact all of the markings on the TB cover are aligned and that the crank shaft is in alignment. After, everything looked correct put it back together. Now when I manually crank the engine it is very hard to turn over like very hard. Any th...

I got this filling I am f--ked. Maybe I am over reacting but I kind of think the valves are bent based on the outcome.

Re: 1998 Volvo S70 Non-Turbo, 173k miles. Retime cams
Can I turn the cams and crankshaft independently without damaging the engine? If not I might have ruined my engine. When I was removing the cam gear to replace the seal I accidentally turned the gear when I removed the bolts.

Re: 2005 V70 camshaft timing
Found the markings, reinstalled the belt, turned the crankshaft three times, and now it wont start. Any suggestions?
The engine turned fine by hand and didn't make any unusual noises. It sound the way it does when the MAF is removed, but I checked it and it was fine.

Okay....I found the marks on the cams and lined them up with the markings on the TB cover. After aligning it, and installing the TB, the car wont start. It just makes a cranking noise but will not start. Please tell me where I might have failed.
