2004 C70 Head Light Harness Issue
The driver's side low beam bulb needed replacing, but the plastic adapter had burn marks and crumbled when I tried to replace the H11 bulb. I bought a replacement adapter from the dealer, but do not know how to join it to the bare wires where the old adapter was. I would appreciate advice on how to ...

Re: pollen filter
2012 XC90 FWD. I changed my cabin air filter this weekend. I'm glad I did this service myself because there were filters in both slots, which is probably not what Volvo intended. The dealer missed this and so did my independent mechanic. I removed the the thinner non-IAQS one and replaced it with th...

Re: DIY rear upper chassis brace
Thanks for sharing. Can I achieve the same results by having an Ipd strut brace installed, like I did on my '05 C70?

Re: 2001 V70 T5 Replace Lower Contriol Arm Bushings
Followup. I had the lower control arm bushings and front strut/spring assembly seats replaced and the car drives like it did when it was new. I used Ipd strut/spring assembly seats and took the advice of my mechanic and replaced the entire control arms, not just the bushings.

2001 V70 T5 Replace Lower Contriol Arm Bushings
My lower control arm bushings and front strut/spring assembly seats need to be replaced. Does this repair require the engine to be raised or lifted up? If so, it occured to me that if the engine is raised I might as well replace the engine torque mounts.

Re: pre-2007 (all) trim renewal review
I found dyes to be messy and the results are like bad liquid shoe polish. Although not a permanent solution, I use Meguiars Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer for my 13 year old V70, which has moderately faded black trim, with good results. Same results for [Turtle Wax] Ice Premium Care Spray Wax, whic...

Re: Defective Leather
I think Volvo had a batch of leather, which seems prevalent on light color interiors. My '01 V70 has black leather and it is in very good shape at 105,000 miles. I just re-conditioned it with Leatherique with good results. The formerly defective leather on the XC90 is holding up going on four months.

Re: Key Fob working intermittently
My 2012 XC90 has one key fob that acts up and won’t work about 70% of the time. It won’t lock or unlock the car at any distance. The second fob works fine. Replaced under warranty 11/11/13. From nhtsa.org… Volvo Service Bulletin # TJ23170 Manufacturer: Volvo Cars of N.A., LLC SUMMARY: VOLVO: NOT POS...

Re: Defective Leather
Follow-up: Volvo did a good job on the seat re-dye and, additionally, they ended up replacing the driver's leather upholstery. I think being assertive with the Volvo Zone rep, helped.
