Well, to my great embarassment and now pain (from being cold in -16 weather), I should have listended to the telltale signs of my heater fan going bad and replaced it sooner. Now I have no heat... AND I still haven't taken care of that bad front left rusted caliper that makes my car pull to the left...

If you find that the 70's dont fit i have a pair of 93's available. Thanks tons for the help guys. Should I plan on replacing both the front brake hoses at the same time? fcp has some for 9 bucks ea or 20 ea for stainless steel hose. Any tricks for getting the hose off the caliper without rupturing...

Too bad it isn't a front one...I have a spare pair of front calipers in good condition that will probably fit your car. Actually, it is my front left caliper! And it is getting worse and worse. The drag from it is now bad enough that the car pulls to the left all the time. I'm glad I have a heater ...

failing seal on brake cyl for 93 850

Merry Christmas all! I always do my brake pad and rotor replacements myself. My front left brack cylinder is getting harder and harder to work with. Last time I didn't notice if the seal was coming loose. This time (about 1 week ago) I took a closer look and saw this: http://img70.imageshack.us/img7...

If you find something, please post the response. I mangled the rubber seal at the bottom of the window on the door with an ice scraper this winter.

How bad is your sunroof leak? Mine leaked and I used some rubber sealant - much cheaper than a new gasket.

I understand the CMP sensor is the camshaft position sensor. Here's a picture of it: http://www.fcpgroton.com/images/9146108.jpg

Best service manuals for Volvos?

I realize that some manuals are better than others. However, I've never purchased a service manual for my Volvo and was wondering what people feel to be the best manuals in general for Volvos and for the 850 line? Are the usual suspects any good? Haynes, Chiltons, etc? When I had a VW camper van, I ...

My 93 850's cmp sensor died during the final test drive after having the transmission replaced a couple of weeks ago. Odd, especially as it has no moving parts. Several hundred $'s later and I'm going again. uggh.

A newer Volvo (1998+) is looking better and better every day.
