Mystery Solved

I brought my car in for a sticker and told my Mechanic the noise was making me nuts. Turns out he found a torsion bar that was loose because the mounting bracket had broken away and had it welded. No more noise! Of course, 4 tires, 4 wheel alignment and removal of the stuck draw bar in the hitch rec...

Hi Geves,

I seem to think it was smooth. I don't recall having any issues with it. Have you tried contacting the manufacturer? Maybe an alternate applicator might work.

I ended up pulling the inner lining of the trunk out and there is a rubber tube that goes out the bottom. I was able to remove the tube and clean it out, it was filled with gunk at the bottom and plugged up pretty good. Now they both drain so hopefully my traveling swimming pool is a thing of the pa...

I used it on my Saab and didn't have any problems, and planned to use it on my my Volvo. I'd be interested in hearing any responses before I do.

Thanks, I didn't know all of those things, it makes sense. I don't plan to drive my car at sustanied speeds above 70 any time soon so I think the H rating tires will be fine.

clogged

I was able to blow out one side I think, and the other water blew up at me and then ice formed on the blower straw. Where do these drain to? Anyone had to snake one?

I have also been told it's the height of the side wall and flexibility of the rubber. I've been told the "H" rated tires last longer as well. I don't plan to go much over 75 - 80 any time soon so if the speed rating is the only factor I will probably go with the H tires.

I'll check to see if its loose underneath first. It makes sense because the parking break doesn't do squat to hold the car and the brake pads are less than 1/2 worn. They squeel anyway so I may have them replaced when I get a sticker next month since they have to take them off to lube them.

I'll check that thanks. Is there a way to adjust the parking brake?
