tmastbash, There's a couple of things you can check. First, check the charge pipe to the turbos and make sure it's tight. Second, check your coils very carefully for cracks. The usual spot is on the back (opposite the wiring socket), around the small holes where you can see the brushes. I found 4 cr...

Finally this weekend, they determined that my battery neded to be replaced Of course, they called me 15 minutes before t...

How Do You Remove & Re-Seal the Oil Pan/Sump?
My 99 S80 T6 has a very annoying oil leak coming from the corner of the pan that aside from leaving some ghastly stains on my driveway, has also gotten the bottom carriage all wet and it's starting to smell bad after driving for a while. Upon lifting the car, it looks rather straight-forward to just...

I recharged it on the low side and (some tips)
Since I had no luck finding information on this and no one replied, I decided to share my experience, hoping it may help some of you out there. Per VADIS, the A/C system should be recharged on the HIGH side. Finding this to be not only odd, but dangerous, I recharged my sytem on the low side (port i...

I have the same problem with front driver door-tried to fix
I took it apart and found that the lip that holds the panel to the top of the door had unglued off. I glued it back on and now my problem is worse. When I unlock the car and try to open the driver door, it almost always re-locks now, whereas it only used to do it once in a while. I think the problem...

A/C Recharging Procedure
Hello everyone, I just bought my first Volvo and found this great forum. As when I bought my first BMW, I'm now finding out I got into the first year production of the S80 (1999), so I can apparently expect a myriad of bugs and issues - just my luck. Fortunately, the PO took care of many of the know...
