Re: 2004 XC70 Tracs/Cruise/Speedo Issues
Turns out it was the ABS ring. It was corroded, had split, and since it was larger in diameter, it ground away the ABS sensor. I replaced both items, and the problem is solved.

Re: 2004 XC70 Tracs/Cruise/Speedo Issues
I did take a look at that. It doesn't seem to apply to my issue. I definitely don't have a heat soak problem, as all the symptoms I'm seeing happen when it's -30C outside, as well as when it's 0, and I've been driving for a while.
Any ideas what caused the end of the ABS sensor to be worn away?

Re: 2004 XC70 Tracs/Cruise/Speedo Issues
Hi All,
I'm still working on this issue. I'm pretty sure it's the LH Front sensor.
I inspected the sensors and cables yesterday. The cabling all looked to be in good shape. No cracks, kinks or anything. The end of the Left Front sensor seems to be ground down. The ABS ring looked ok. Not much ...

Re: VIDA DICE, which one to buy?
Hi All,
I'm thinking of picking up a DICE unit in the near future. I've read through this thread, and found lots of examples of what not to get. Can someone steer me in the direction of a decent quality DICE unit, at a reasonable price? Thanks!

2004 XC70 Tracs/Cruise/Speedo Issues
Hi All,
My '04 XC70 is showing the following symptoms. The car originally exhibited these issues in a RH turn, but now it seems to happen going straight and slightly left as well. There are no issues in a tight LH turn.

1996 850 Seat Heater Not Working - No Thermostat?
Hi All,
Winter is coming, and I'm finally getting around to troubleshooting my heated seats. The passenger's side works fine, but the drivers side does not. I've read through this thread: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=24633
Everything checks so far. I have power ...

1996 850: Yet Another Heater Core Question
Hi All,
I've been getting some water on the drivers side floor mat for a while. At first, I thought it was just straight water leaking in from outside, but after digging around, I'm fairly sure it's coming from the heater core area.
The real question is: Is the leak from the heater core itself, or ...

Re: 98 Volvo C70 How-to Replace Rocker Switch Bulb
I just used this guide to replace some bulbs in my 850. It was so cheap, and so easy! Thanks for the writeup.
Out of curiosity, is the procedure and parts for switches for the heated seats and transmission, and the dimmer slider for the instrument cluster all the same? How do you get the dimmer ...

I'm about to change the Timing Belt, Water pump, and all pulleys. I got the correct timing belt and spacer from the dealer using the engine serial number / VIN. I'm wondering if the IPD cam locking tool will work on the cam pulleys of this engine?
Thanks!
Kim
