Re: 2001 S80 T6 Siren Module Replacement/Repair - How To

I would say that board is cooked. There's quite a few components that were damaged by the corrosion.

Battery acid is a nasty chemical. I find it surprising that engineers even thought that setup would last lol

Re: 2002 S80T6 CEL Long Term Fuel Trim Cat Efficiency

It very well could be. A lean condition on the intake side will definitely show lean on the exhaust side, it will also throw a catalytic efficiency code if it stays below threshold too long.

Re: 2001 S80 Odd computer problem

My first thought was that too. But based on the wiring diagrams, the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) doesn't not go through the CEM at all whatsoever. The engine module itself triggers the relay to give itself power. The CAN communication via the DLC (data link connecter) is straight into the PCM. U...

Re: 2001 S80 T6 Engine system service required

I had a similar problem and it ended up being the Airbag computer. It took down 90% of the network. Same deal, no codes. They put it right below the cupholders and someone spilled who knows what down there. The liquid pooled on the SRS computer and actually corroded it. There were a few pins literal...

Hello all, Just wondering if any of you have come across this situation: I have a 2001 S80 T6 . The car won't start and won't communicate with the engine computer (it's a new cloned computer but I have tried the original computer as well). However, if I disconnect the battery and reconnect with key ...

Re: 1999 Volvo S80 MAF/O2 Sensor Dilema

Have you tried running the car with the MAF unplugged to see if it runs any better ? It's a simple way to rule out if the other components are failing. As far as parts and Volvo's go, I have found that OEM used is better than any aftermarket new "OEM" part. It's not uncommon to get bad aft...

Check the Low Beam relay in the Central Electric Module. It may be sticking.
