Strange... Because I had a 96' 850 when I lived in France, and same, no 'A' screw... And it was an Italian or Swiss import. But I suppose that, because this 850 is a Norwegian model, maybe set up with the norwegian regulations on DRL from the main headlights. I'll check if I can cut somr wire in the...

No we don't have this little screw in Europe.
In Europe, daytime lights, it's the high position of the switch. We have to be able to switch them off just by turn it to 0.

850 '94 headlight switch
Hello, I can't find a solution anywhere. So it's my '94 850. When I turn to the 0 position the headlights switch, the dashboard lights go off, but the headlights remain on. The other positions work as they should. When I remove the key, everything is off. I changed the switch with one from the junky...

Today on my '93 850 I replaced the front diskbrakes and did a renewing of the brake fluid. And unblock the backseat seatbelt.
