I had that happen to me last year. It turned out that the left-hand side shaft was seizing, and both wiper arms had to be taken off the shafts and the entire mechanisms cleaned up and properly greased. Only after is was fixed did I realize that a few weeks earlier I had sprayed some WD-40 into all 3...
