I have a 2006 V70 2.5T and I need to replace the vac. hose circled with red in the picture. Can anybody tell me the part name of this hose and/or the Volvo part number so I can order a new one? If is just a regular vacuum hose that you can cut to length, what's the internal diameter?

If the brake pedal feels very hard but it doesnt brake that is an indication of no vacuum. Does this happen only when the engine is cold or all the time?

I don't think the engine light comes on because of the vac pump. Could be an additional problem...

Usually if the switch is bad then the pump won't work but it won't blow the fuse. In your case, the only thing I can think of is that you have a wire with a bad isolation and it touches the ground somewhere. Assuming you replaced the fuse with the correct one (20A)and it did blow again, then my guess is that the pump is bad because there is nothing else on that fuse...
