Hi I own a 1994 2.0 20 valve 850 which the engine has expired on me,i have the chance of a good 2.5 lump from the same era,both are on manual boxes,my question being are there any real headaches in fitting the 2.5 motor into a 2.0 car,they obviously look the same etc. Would it just be a case of swap...

where are you relieving the pressure on the unit? from the fuel rail? Have you checked your fuel relays?
