Re: 08 xc90 strut replacement parts help
Thanks for that...but I still don't know what parts are necessary to replace with the strut, if any.

08 xc90 strut replacement parts help
So my wife hit a pothole and bent the right front strut and knuckle. I've found a used knuckle for $93 vs $400 new, but my main question is about the strut replacement. The shop I took the car to couldn't find a strut locally so they had to call the dealer for parts. They quoted $450 for a pair of s...

Re: Volvo XC90 Front Brake Job
I'm preparing to do my rotors and pads in two days (first brake job ever) on my 2008 XC90 Sport V8. I've been doing a little more research and came across some links that said the 18mm bolts must be replaced with new bolts when you change and loc-tight must be added to the threads. Is this true or c...

18mm caliper bolt torque setting?
2008 V8 Sport Going to do my first brake job this weekend and I'm a little confused about the 18mm caliper bolt specs. I plan on removing the 18mm bolts and then taking off the caliper in one piece, replacing the pads and rotors. Now some say to remove the brake fluid cap when compressing the piston...

Re: coolant level low warning
Thanks for the advice. Does using non Volvo coolant such as Xerox g50 void the warranty?

coolant level low warning
My wife just called telling me that the warning 'coolant level low, turn off engine' came on for about a minute then turned off. I haven't had a chance to check it myself yet. The car was sitting for 8 hours in 5 degree weather, could that be a cause for the warning light?

2008 XC90 Sport Brake Job Question
Quick question. I'm going to attempt my first front brake job. Do I need to do anything with the brake lines/fluid reservoir when compressing the piston thingy with the C-clamp? All the tutorials I've read don't mention it specifically for the XC90, but have seen it mentioned in non-specific car bra...
